SEATTLE, Washington: Boeing and its largest white-collar union are set to return to the negotiating table on Sunday after contract discussions stalled following workers' rejection of the company's latest offer.

Negotiators from Boeing and the Society of Professional Engineering Employees Association (SPEEA) plan to meet to resume discussions, a union spokesman said.

SPEEA represents roughly 17,000 Boeing engineers and technical workers. Its members overwhelmingly rejected the company's contract offer last week.

A survey SPEEA conducted this week found that larger, immediate guaranteed wage increases were members' top priority in negotiations.

More money for annual performance-based raises ranked second, while improved annual cost-of-living adjustments were the third-highest priority, according to survey results shared by the union.

Nearly 13,000 SPEEA members participated in the survey.

Boeing did not immediately comment on the planned meeting on August 31.
